Boo Y'all!

Happy Halloween Weekend Y’all! I am just going to jump right in to what will most definitely be a Halloween centered blog. I would go ahead and brace myself for my next blog to include a lot of Halloween stuff too.

First, I posted a picture of the pumpkins that my brother (middle), his girlfriend Lisa (right) and I (left) carved.

Aren’t they cute? I messed mine up a little but I usually do…it seems like I always botch my pumpkin in some way. I also posted a picture below of what I’ve been calling a “Snake Sandwich.” My mom gave me the idea and helped me make them for work. You use crescent rolls and roll them out and then the sandwich is filled up with ham, salami, bologna, Monterey Jack cheese and Dijon mustard. After you roll it up, you try and shape it kind of like a snake and then you put egg wash on the top to make it shiny. You can add food coloring to the egg to give it more of a snake color. You use green olives for the eyes and cloves for the nostrils.

It was SO good and it was a HUGE hit at work today…it got eaten almost immediately. It’s so yummy! Below are some pics of costumes from work…I was Pepto Bismol and I got 3rd Place! The winners were other people in my department who definitely deserved to win…they were Pac Man and the ghosts.

There were some decent costumes. The Oompa Loompa got second place. I was very happy to get 3rd because that equals money! I have had a very fun and fattening day. I can’t wait to dress up tomorrow and go to Birmingham for a Halloween party with Jordan! I won’t count but I feel like I’ve used A LOT of exclamation marks in this blog.

I will definitely post pictures on Tuesday from tomorrow’s party. So, there is no Alabama football this weekend which is kind of nice because the team needs rest and it’s good for me because I simply don’t have time tomorrow to get stressed about watching a game.

I am not sure what night you will be celebrating Halloween or trick-or-treating but when you do, I hope you have a safe and fun weekend!

Bye!

“I was working in the lab late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise

He did the mash
He did the monster mash
The monster mash
It was a graveyard smash
He did the mash
It caught on in a flash
He did the mash
He did the monster mash

From my laboratory in the castle east
To the master bedroom where the vampires feast
The ghouls all came from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrodes

They did the mash
They did the monster mash
The monster mash
It was a graveyard smash
They did the mash
It caught on in a flash
They did the mash
They did the monster mash.” Monster Mash-Bobby “Boris” Pickett

  1. Love the Pepto costume, love the pumpkins and even though you know how I feel about snakes, I love the sandwich! It looks very tasty!
