Merry Christmas Y'all!

Hey Errrrybody! I didn’t weigh this morning as planned so I don’t have a report on that but I have been bustin’ my tail as usual in the gym so I should be OK I guess.

I have a quick recipe for you that might be good for a low fat holiday snack. It’s Pumpkin Pie Dip. I am not a huge fan of pumpkin stuff especially if it tastes too much like pumpkin, but this stuff tastes more like cinnamon, so it was good. You mix together a little brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, fat free Greek yogurt and fat free cool whip. That’s it…all it takes. It’s easy and you can serve it with apples or graham crackers. It’s a tasty, low fat treat for a Christmas party.

I have had a lot of Christmas goings on in the past couple weeks so I thought I’d share some pics of cookies I made with my friends and their baby Mya, socks my brother and his girlfriend gave me, a cute Christmas penguin tissue box, a gingerbread house my family made, me and the toy microphone I won for singing karaoke at the work Christmas party and a video of Mya singing jingle bells. It’s been a nice time and I look forward to more fun times with family this weekend.

One tip for you today as you embark on the holidays…stay away from the scale! It won’t help. I usually weigh on a weekly basis but I don’t ever think someone should weigh more than once a week. It’s dangerous to become obsessed with the scale. Your body changes on a daily basis…it can even change by the minute so weighing once or twice a day isn’t a good way to measure the weight you’ve lost. I think it’s important to weigh sometimes so you can stay goal oriented but you don’t even have to do that. For instance, I bought some jeans the other day. They are super tight so I’m calling them my February jeans. If you can have goals like that without weighing, go for it but if you do weigh, don’t develop Obsessive Weighing Disorder…it’s a dangerous habit. Have fun on Christmas and eat a little good food…life is about eating, drinking and being merry with the people you love. As long as we can all get back on the bandwagon after Christmas, all will be fine.

I don’t have too much else to say. I am excited about Christmas and being off of work for 4 days. I hope you all have some time off too!

I’m also experiencing my first round of golf on Tuesday so that should be interesting.

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL holiday!

Be safe!

Merry Christmas! Happy Holiday’s!

Bye!

“Through the years we all will be together and
If the fates allow
Hang a shining star upon the highest bow,
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now…” Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
