Ka-Ching!

Hey y’all! I had to do an evening post tonight because I was crazy busy all day.  I will jump right in since it’s officially paper grading season and I am elbow deep in 5-6 page papers.  I will start by saying that I didn’t weigh this weekend.  I find that weighing after a food based holiday like Thanksgiving is not only a form a masochism, it’s just plain stupid.  Your body is at its worst at times like those and there is no reason in punishing yourself on the scale.  That’s just my opinion though, there are plenty of people that would weigh after eating a huge meal.  Me on the other hand…I didn’t weigh after Thanksgiving and I’m not going to weigh this Saturday, either.  I know my body won’t have recovered from the holiday and Iron Bowl festivities.  I’m also going to Vegas this weekend so I know I won’t be a picture of healthy eating while I’m there.  I will weigh in a couple weeks when I have a chance for things to settle a bit.  Hopefully it won’t be too bad.  I wanted to warn you now that there will be no blog next Monday.  I’m going to Vegas and won’t get back until late Sunday night so I’m planning ahead.  I will blog the Monday after that and I will show you lots of pictures from Vegas (Jordan and I are going to see Shania Twain…YAY!) and hopefully I’ll be celebrating an Alabama win after they play the SEC Championship. 

I’ll keep it short tonight.  I’ve been eating a lot of veggies and I’m compiling some different ideas for veggie recipes but tonight I wanted to quickly show you pictures of food that isn’t so good from you and pictures from my weekend.  The first is 2 pictures of the cheeseball my mom and I made.  I had an idea to make the cheeseball look like a turkey and my mom made it happen.  I thought it turned out really cute.  I also took a picture of the Deviled Eggs that I always make and they were delicious.  The other two pictures are of the table with all the yummy food and the delicious pies my mom made.  I ate too much but it was worth every calorie!  I also included a picture of myself and Brittany Howard, the lead singer of the Alabama Shakes.  I was privy to a secret concert they were doing and lucky enough to meet her through a friend.  It was an awesome time!  Dad and I also went to the Iron Bowl and that’s the last picture.  We DEMOLISHED Auburn!  Georgia is next!
